Dan Cosley – Dan Cosley does research around human-computer interaction and social media. His high-level research goal is to build systems that leverage people’s pre-existing behavior in digital media to create new individual and social goods. He values interdisciplinary research, sees research experience as a core component of undergraduate as well as graduate education, and prefers work that makes contributions both to academia and to society more broadly. He works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive and the Youth Tech Safety Project.
Dominic DiFranzo – Dominic DiFranzo is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering at Lehigh University. He works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive and the Content Moderation Project.
Drew Margolin – Drew Margolin is an Associate Professor in the Cornell Dept. of Communication. He works with the lab on the Prosocial Objection Project and the CCSS project, which looks at Prosocial Behaviors in the Digital Age.
Marie Ozanne – Marie Ozanne is an Assistant Professor in the Cornell Hotel School. She works with the lab on the Content Moderation Project.
Mandy Purington – Mandy Purington is the Director of Evaluation and Research at ACT for Youth project in the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research. She works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive.
Janis Whitlock– Janis is a research scientist emerita in the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research at Cornell University. She is the founder and director of the Cornell Research Program on Self-Injury and Recovery. She also conducts research in areas related to sexual violence prevention and the role of digital technologies in wellbeing. She works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive and the mental health projects.
Qian Yang – Qian Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Cornell Dept. of Information Science. She works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive and the Conversational AI project.
Wenting (Ellen) Zou – Ellen Zou is an Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology with a joint appointment in the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences at Penn State University. She works with the lab on Social Media TestDrive and the Conversational AI project.
